proudly SERVING HIS COUNTRY

In 1976, just after graduating from Oakland High School, Ron Jones made the life-changing decision to join the U.S. Army. With college out of reach, Ron turned to service, beginning his military career at Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri, where he completed basic training. From there, he was sent to Ft. Benning, Georgia, for advanced infantry training, where he developed expertise in tank warfare. As an expert tank killer, Ron excelled in firing the TOW anti-tank missile, achieving a level of proficiency that defined his time at Ft. Benning.

Following advanced infantry training, Ron was stationed at Ft. Ord with the 2/32 Combat Support Company. His journey continued as he was deployed to the DMZ in South Korea with the 2/9 Infantry, standing on the front lines of one of the world’s most intense military zones. His unit was later redeployed to Ft. Riley, Kansas, where Ron served in a tank warfare platoon with the 2/16 Infantry.

Later in his military career, Ron attended the Military Police Academy, adding law enforcement skills to his already impressive military background. As a military police officer, he was stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas and later deployed to Germany. Ron's Army career not only prepared him for the discipline and leadership needed for his future endeavors but also instilled in him a deep sense of duty and service.
