During Ron's time with the Oakland Police Department, he had the honor of serving as a Public Information Officer, where he was entrusted with representing the department and the city of Oakland to the media and the public. In this role, Ron crafted the department’s press releases, ensuring clear and transparent communication with the community on critical issues. Ron also appeared regularly on air, hosting crime prevention cable access shows like Bay Area Crime Watch, where he informed and engaged the public on safety initiatives and the city’s efforts to combat crime.

As a police recruiter and background investigator, Ron traveled the country working to bring new talent into the department, embodying the values of integrity, service, and commitment to the city. These roles allowed Ron to be a vital bridge between law enforcement and the citizens we served, building trust and promoting public safety.
